Delivery: Complimentary delivery is available in a 4 mile radius at 11:00 & 4:00.
This annual dinner takes place every year on the Saturday AFTER Presidents’ Day Monday.
Using local ingredients, our Fire Company offers some of the finest, most delicious pot pie in Lancaster County. The chicken is pasture-raised and fed non-genetically modified grain. Thus, the meat we use is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and CLA. We carefully handle the bone stock and broth that comes from cooking off the chicken. The broth is enhanced with locally grown, dried herbs and botanicals and flavored with naturally seasoned salt. Flavors abound!
Working by hand, our volunteers roll out the pot pie noodles on site so that they are constantly fresh throughout the day. The pepper cabbage is also a labor of love and made on site.
We as a Fire Company have aligned ourselves with wonderful food producers in our Bird-in-Hand area. The dinner rolls are from a local bakery. The organic butter on the table is also locally produced. To finish off the meal there are delectable homemade pies to choose from, all of which have been donated.
This is a great family activity for a cold and blustery Saturday in February. Bring young and old family members into the warmth and comfort of our Fire Hall. Then enjoy the fellowship of neighbors and new friends as you eat a hearty, healthy, and tasty meal. You will leave with a feeling of satisfaction because the proceeds from the dinner ensure ongoing quality fire protection in our community.
Our local neighbors and out-of-town friends are invited to the annual Pot Pie Dinner at the Bird-in-Hand Fire Hall on the Saturday after President’s Day Monday every year. There are three options to choose from: take-out, family style dining in the dining room, and a buffet served in the engine bay. The buffet has been added to shorten the wait time and give better service. Take-outs begin at 9:30 am and eating-in options at 10:30 am.
